Disabled conversions

Disabled conversions cover a wide range of services from the building of ramps and level access solutions, the widening of corridors and doorways, the provision of specialist bathroom and hoist equipment, bespoke air conditioning systems, soft play areas for children, swimming and hydrotherapy pools.

We are well respected for our knowledge and expertise in all these areas, and we are pleased to be able to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

Conservation Area Development

Conservation Area Development requires attention to detail, an understanding of the environment in which the work is taking place, and a commitment to traditional methods and high standards in the
building process.

We make every effort to marry the requirements of Building regulations with the desires of Planners. So, in the example of a slate roof, we work with the architect to achieve the desired ventilation and thermal properties while still retaining the traditional look of a Welsh slate roof.

In the case of brickwork, an existing wall will be demolished and re-used to create a seamless and established new elevation.

Throughout a build, it is this process of communication, and the combination of our skills and knowledge as a builder with that of the other professionals involved,  that achieves the level of quality which we all aspire to.

Traditional building services

Traditional building services encompass all those areas you would expect a building company to display their skills and expertise.

Whether it is in the creation of traditional extensions, loft and basement conversions, we can provide a comprehensive in house service, which includes the building of the main structure, plastering, joinery, decoration, electrical and plumbing works, bathroom and kitchen fitting, as well as external landscaping.

Showrooms and shop fitting

Showrooms and shop fitting require particular skills because of the constraints of our working environment.

Businesses want to be closed for the shortest period, or not at all. So we will often be working long hours and to the keenest timetable.

We will have to manage our working space efficiently and make all allowances necessary for working in close proximity to the public.

The skills we use are often the same as in our other work, and the quality needs to be just as high.

The final test of our showroom work is that our clients’ customers are, in a sense, buying both the client’s product and the standard of work carried out by Stuart Lee Construction Ltd.
